Shias In STEM × Shia Built Environment Collective

Calling all STEM professionals.

On Saturday 31 October we're filling a room with the people our students keep being told to “go and network with”. Pathways is a careers fair and panel, and it only works if you're in the room. If you work in STEM or the built environment, sign up below.

Four ways you could help

Host a careers stallA table of your own for the afternoon. Students come to you with the questions they're too shy to ask a stranger on LinkedIn.
Give a short career talkTen minutes on how you got here. The messy version is the useful one, not the CV version.
Join the panel or Q&ASit with others across STEM and the built environment and answer what the room actually wants to know.
Volunteer on the daySetting up, greeting, running the room. No stall, no talk, just hands and a bit of time.

Good to know

  • Pathways is a careers fair and panel, run by Shias In STEM with the Shia Built Environment Collective.
  • It runs from 2pm on Saturday 31 October at Dar al Islam, 61 Anson Rd, London NW2 3UY.
  • This form is for professionals offering to help. It is not a ticket, and it doesn't commit you to anything.
  • Every route counts. University, apprenticeship, college, a graduate scheme, a career change at 35 — students need to see all of them.
  • Tell us your accessibility requirements on the form and we'll make the day work around them.
  • A member of the team will come back to you to confirm what you're doing and when to arrive.
